Picks up oil and not water, it does what it supposed to do.These are two very thin layers only connected at the edges made of pressed fibers that did not absorb oil properly and were a tripping & slipping hazard. Did not compare to a brand name product we have be satisfied with in the past. Happy we bought through Amazon to help with the easy return help and method. Hopefully the refund will come through smoothly when they receive the product back.the product is good for soaking up spilled oil.great dealGood deal for these, as they work well to absorb oil under diesels.I like the Spilfyter pads. They get the job done. They are affordable. I choose these first, if they are available.Cheaper than buying locally and they are just as goodPads are very thin. Packaging was soaked in oil and pads were also soaked. I guess someone used them before me and then decided to send them out. Annoying. Will not be reordering these.
