Bought a rug that I did not realize was not very plush. Ordered this rug pad immediately after searching through a bunch on Amazon, and was very pleased with my purchase. The only downside was it had a chemical smell in the beginning but after about a day or two the smell dissipated. The rug also came the day after I ordered it via UPS which was a nice surprise.Works as expected and seems perfect for what we wanted!This is the second rug pad I've purchased on Amazon from RugpadsUSA. For thicker rugs, the 1/8" thick pads work well but for thinner rugs (Caucasian, Kilims etc) the 1/4" thick pads are better. My current application was for a 20' x 2'6" thick Oriental-type rug placed on top of a Saltillo tile floor. The most cost effective solution entailed purchasing an 8'x10' rug pad, cutting it into two 10' x 30" sections and then duck taping the two long ends together to create the length I needed for the runner. And there was enough padding left over to use underneath a smaller rug. Perfect! These rug pads are soft on the top and grippy on the bottom, adding just the right amount of cushioning for a hard surface floor (tile/hardwood) while ensuring the rugs stay in position and don't slide out from underneath you.I'll order again from this company. Their rug pads can't be beat!As advertisedWe desperately needed a new pad after we had out 8x11 rug cleaned. So, we purchased this one and I really like it. So far so good. The only downside was it didn't fit exactly 8x11 rug with 8x11 pad, so we have to cut it. Other than that, we're happy.Used it for my round rug in my living room. Trimmed an inch off.. Good heavy quality.Pad fits good, needs to trim one side to fit rug.Get wonderful feedback on my cheap rug that I have at how soft it is, then I tell people it’s the padding. We have very slick wood floors and the rug (8x10) does not budge under the dog or toddlers running around.I ordered 2 of these carpet pads, they arrived in 2 different boxes. One pad was what I ordered, the other did not have the rubber padding on the bottom. Both have same part # On labels however obviously one is defective or the wrong item altogether. I’m disappointed as I now need to figure how to get this large package returned which I cannot fit in my car.Worth the $The pad made a huge difference in comfort! We had a thin rug on our hardwood with a thin rubber rug pad. This pad makes the rug feel much more substantial and has held up well with our dog running over it.
