+OrganicPricy for what it is, but I did not find anything similar. Maybe Naturepedic would have been better, Idk, I just do not trust the synthetics even if "less toxic."Their nursing pillow is firmer, so I was hoping this would be too (a firm surface is supposedly cozier for a baby, they feel more secure). My baby loves their nursing pillow, she sometimes just wants to sleep on it on my lap when we are not breastfeeding/just in the rocking chair. It is comfy ish though and she has fallen asleep on it before (did not leave her there lol).However, the contour on this changing mattress did keep her from rolling. On her second day she triple rolled off the bed to escape a diaper.She seemed to find diaper changes incredibly stressful, and this seemed to help, maybe because the sides hug her a little.Protects changing table. I kept trying thin pads on the changing table, wool pads & prefolds, etc., even some we had been gifted with polyester core (organic on top), but everything seemed to drip off to the side just enough to get water damage on those cheap thin pressed wood boards (I got a table that was california certified, but sadly that still involves those cheap thin boards, could not find a completely solid wood table).
